Terms and Conditions for Orienta

By accessing or using the Orienta web application , you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions . If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not access or use the App.

Orienta provides an online platform designed to assist Cameroonian high school students in exploring university fields of study. The App offers information on various fields, subdomains, potential career paths, university recommendations based on user preferences, and networking features such as blogging, liking, and commenting.
3. User Responsibilities
- Accuracy of Information: You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide on the App, including your preferences and profile details.
- Appropriate Conduct: You agree to use the App in a respectful and lawful manner. You shall not:
- Post or transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the App or the servers or networks connected to the App.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or other users' accounts.
- Use the App for any commercial purpose without prior written consent from Orienta.
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify Orienta immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your account.
4. Content Ownership and Responsibility
- User Content: You retain ownership of the content you post on the App (e.g., blog posts, comments). However, you grant Orienta a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute this content within the App for the purpose of providing and improving the service.
- Orienta Content: All content provided by Orienta on the App (e.g., text, graphics, logos) is the property of Orienta and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not use this content without prior written consent from Orienta.
- Content Moderation: Orienta reserves the right to moderate user-generated content and remove any content that violates these Terms or is deemed inappropriate.
5. University Recommendations
The university recommendations provided by Orienta are based on user preferences and available data. Orienta does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of these recommendations and is not responsible for any decisions made based on this information. Users are encouraged to conduct their own research.
6. Networking Features
Orienta provides networking features to connect users. Orienta is not responsible for the interactions between users and does not endorse any specific individuals or groups. Users should exercise caution and good judgment when interacting with others on the platform.
